Find harmony through mindful yoga practice

Philosophy
The Sanskrit word yoga means “union” and “integration”, the “tightening” of the body to the limitless universal consciousness. Yoga, specifically practicing asana (body), pranayama (breath), and dhyana (meditation), has been proven to provide health-promoting effects and alleviate some symptoms of sleep disorders, headaches and depression through targeted and recurring exercises. Moving from chaos to peace and then peace to joy is an intentional path for most of us; very few experience this spontaneously. The hardest part for many is learning to do nothing.
My journey to yoga
I discovered my passion for yoga through a co-worker in 2003 when I first moved to Greensboro. She brought me to a small class with a teacher I still revere. I found that I felt more complete, at peace, and whole after practices; I called it, "yoga-stoned." I went to all theclasses I could afford back then, which varied, unfortunately.
COVID crumbled many things that year, and my teacher's class offerings were one of the things which never recovered. I was cast about, mooreless in the yogaverse, not understanding all I need is within. I only learned this through my 200 hour yoga teacher training at Greensboro's iconic Triad Yoga Institute. I continue in the 300 hour training there as a lifelong seeker.
I love sharing my knowledge and experiences with others to help them stay physically and mentally healthy. I have found fulfillment sharing yoga and am grateful for the opportunity to accompany people on their path to greater well-being and inner balance.
